Lumina City Community Trust is responsible for looking after Harbor Hall in Harbor Ward. Harbor Hall Renewal considers how the former warehouse could support useful local activity while respecting the homes nearby. The Trust works with Harbor Makers Cooperative and listens to questions gathered by Quayside House Association. Nora Bell contributes as a volunteer. The plans are under discussion; a final use and construction date have not been announced. This describes management responsibility, not a new claim about legal ownership.
What we offer
A useful future for Harbor Hall starts with people who live nearby and people who could help bring the building to life.
- Follow the renewal proposal: explore possible community uses, the building and the questions still to be answered.
- Join the conversation: the open meeting examines access, participation and how different interests can be heard.
- See volunteering in context: Nora Bell helps the Trust connect the renewal ideas with everyday life in Harbor Ward.
Taking part and using Harbor Hall
Can I explore the proposal or attend the open meeting without joining Harbor Makers?
Yes. Harbor Hall Renewal is a public proposal, and Harbor Hall Open Meeting is an open event with no registration. You can read the plans and take part in the conversation without becoming a member of the cooperative.
Will the open meeting decide how the hall is used?
The meeting is advisory, with no vote. It introduces draft local guidelines about use, participation and disagreement. Those drafts are part of the discussion; they are not adopted rules or an approved workshop agreement.
Does membership or volunteering include workshop access?
Membership, voluntary help and permission to use a room are separate matters. Harbor Makers’ possible workshop use remains a proposal. Joining a group or helping the Trust does not by itself establish a right to use the hall as a workshop.
Useful information
Harbor Hall remains a former warehouse with a proposed future use. The Trust has not announced a construction date, a regular opening schedule or a hall-booking service.
The Trust looks after the renewal process; Harbor Makers contributes workshop ideas and Quayside House Association gathers residents’ questions. These roles do not settle ownership or give one group the final say over every issue.
