About the project
A proposal for autumn U17 training at Northbank Field, considered alongside the public walking path, nearby homes and evening access.
Northbank Football Club has asked Lumina City Parks & Recreation to consider two later U17 training sessions each week during the autumn season, with temporary, shielded lighting as an option. The city owns Northbank Field and makes any decision about the site. David Chen presents the club's request; Mara Bennett coaches the U17 team, and Aisha Coleman supports players' participation. Leo Garcia can explain the effect on school-day routines and getting home. Ruth Miller uses the north walking path and wants public passage and quiet evenings to remain part of the discussion. The published Northbank Field Listening Evening is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Halifax time in the club pavilion's meeting area, with doors at 6:15 p.m. The planning capacity is 40 people; the event page sets out the planned facilities. It is advisory and cannot approve new hours, lighting or a change to the club's seasonal arrangement. No change has been approved and no new lighting is installed. Fictional demonstration project.
